Gearhead Outfitters experienced significant expansion over five years, growing from a handful of outdoor retail stores in Arkansas to over 25 locations nationwide. However, their brand identity lacked cohesion due to inconsistent design practices across locations. They needed a strategic, future-proofed approach to unify their visual presence.
Goal
Preserve GHO’s small-town charm while refining their brand identity to maintain consistency across all locations. The strategy focused on balancing their strong community-driven ethos with scalable, high-quality visual design to align with the premium outdoor brands they carry.
Solution
Developed a comprehensive brand audit and strategic presentation to consolidate visual assets, optimize logo scalability, and streamline branding across stores. Implimented a “glow-up” brand strategy that leveraged high-quality outdoor photography, modernized logo applications, and refined digital presence to elevate the brand’s positioning while maintaining its local authenticity. The Gifts to Go campaign was an additional company need for a national gift-card promotion. It was designed to live within their current logo system while looking forward to what their brand will eventually roll-out to be. It included print advertising, gift-card design, holiday promotions and in-store signage.
